I bought the app last month for my us trip. I think this offers much better directions than the free apps. Also if you dont have a data plan, this is the best for you.

I used many navigation systems and Garmins Navigon is just OK. In comparison, Garmins Viago system was outstanding but Garmin stopped its development activities after the company purchased Navigon. Viago was better in every respect. I hope Garmin improves Navigon by making it more Viago-like. Until then Ill rely on in-car as well as other mobile navigation systems.

Great navigation app. The upcoming direction and time boxes at bottom of screeen need bigger font readouts. The numeral size is way to small which causes driver to have to take eyes off the road to focus on the small print readouts.

The most reliable navigation app ever. I dont know why people are not giving a good review but as for me I have tried all the navigation apps and this is the most accurate and detailed. I used to use sygic, but this one takes it to another level. I am never lost thank you Navigon.

Besides the fact that the apps UI is awkward to use at best, besides the fact that its saddled with Microsofts "Here" map search which can never seem to find anything, besides the fact that it seems to take the support team months if not years to fix basic issues like the voice directions mixing up East / West and North South, besides all that; the app itself is not stable and will (given enough time) eventually crash your phone, lock you out of the app, and erase all your downloaded maps for which the only fix is re-installing the app and re-downloading all your maps (hope you have a good internet connection and a few extra hours to spare). This is the worst investment Ive ever made on any GOS tool. Navigon has now become synonymous with "outdated" and "unreliable."

It would be nice if the GPS system had a compass while in use.

I drive a company vehicle and have a telematic device that monitors my speed. If it wasnt for the speed limit notifications I could foresee myself getting into trouble for speed limit infractions. I love this app and its been nothing but accurate for me. Id recommend this app to anyone that is being monitored by "Big Brother".

This has been my navigation app for over 5 years! Now its broken. Only simulation mode works. It will not show me the route. Needs a fix immediately!

Horrible app. 5 times I have not paved the correct route. 5 times I was late for work to the client. Remove your application from the apple store. I spent the $100+ you to use all the additional functions. As a result, there is nothing left.

I researched a lot before deciding to buy this. I do not recommend it as Google maps is more accurate and free. I deleted what is now the most expensive app I have purchased. It is not up to date, it has routed me in circles a few times and is hard to read.

Dont believe the fake 5 star ratings. People are paid to write those. This app is Totally Unreliable. Will crash delete all your maps in the middle of navigation. This has happened repeatedly despite many updates. Customer service unable to fix it. Currently the app isnt even recognizing the maps I have downloaded.

Ive owned and used this app for many years, even before the company was purchased by Garmin, and it has always performed great. The maps are stored on your device, so if you dont have a cellular data connection you still have navigation. Very important when your working/driving in rural areas. My kids have all purchased this app once they began driving as well. Ive seen reviews complaining about the user interface and the app crashing, and Im completely baffled. In the five years that Ive used it, Ive never had it crash. The user interface is identical to any standalone gps device Ive ever seen, so simple to use. And Im definitely not being paid by anyone to give this review. I recommend it to all of my family and friends, so I think its a solid product!!!

Ive paid for the quarterly map updates yet roads that have homes that were built in 2012 still dont show. Im a Realtor and I wanted something that was up to date and could handle multiple waypoints. But its so badly out of date here in DFW that the program is $100 white elephant on my phone. Its worthless, yet Ive paid $100 for it when you include all the "upgrades". Waze is far better and free and easier to use and MUCH easier to enter an address and much more accurate and Waze even syncs with my calendar to pull up the location of where I am going and Waze supports one waypoint at least though Id like more. The maps are jerky to maneuver around and dont waste your money on the "upgraded" 3D map. Its not much different but its even slower than the already poor rendering on the regular map and Im on an iPhone 6Plus with 128gb. Its no competition between this and Waze. Theyve gotten my money but never again. Theyll soon be out of business with this rubbish.

I ordered all of the extras like panoramic view, traffic, and 2 years of map updates. Its a little expensive, but I will use it for many years. I read all of the reviews and concluded that Navigon is the most expensive and also the best - you get what you pay for. Ive tried all of the free navigation apps and they are like toys compared to Navigon.

Its an ok app, I would not buy the extras and if I had it to do again, I would just stick with Google maps.

For the price, I was expecting top notch. Getting there but more updates needed. Favorites and recents, Finally we can search them. Should be able to arrange by name, proximity, mostly used. Or even tell u the actual distance from your current location next to item. Why does it not show u the actual address to POI places that u have saved? When searching for POI, I have had a good experience with it finding the location but doesnt give u phone number of location if u need to call prior to going there. With some results it doesnt even give u exact address. It navigates u there by GPS coordinates. If u type in the search box or local search u wont get number or exact address. U have to use four square search. Traffic reports are confusing as they are noted on a separate tab. Only thing noted on map are cumbersome icons. I would like to see color coding on actual map with speed limits noted like I have seen on other navigation apps. Wish there was a quick way to save your parking spot once u arrive at location. Way I do now is by dropping a PIN on map and saving to favorite. Not the quickest way. More updates and still issues above not addressed. No easy way to contact customer support. I called the toll free number and it seemed I knew more about application then they did.

it has this annoying habit of requiring a 220MB update once a quarter, and the app wont even run until you do the update. This is a problem when you start the app away from wifi and have to do that large update over the cellular network.

This is a huge bug for me as I use it all the time. Use to show the whole turn by turn list. Now it shows nothing other than the circular wait animation

This app was awesome until they did the Q3/2015 update...now the Turn by Turn doesnt work!!! I travel and this is imperative to my job...I will stop using this app if it doesnt get fixed!
